If the judge has ordered you to have someone supervise your visits with your child(ren), you may be asking why or what to do next? It is important to know that we work hard to remove the stigma of supervised visitation or the feeling that you have done something wrong. Many times, if you have been away from your child for a length of time, the Judge simply wants you to reunify over time.
Our supervised visitation program is designed to ensure the safety and welfare of the child (and both parents) during these visits and to promote a positive relationship between the visiting parent and the child in a neutral, natural environment.
Supervised contact is not a long-term solution to a family's problems. The short-term goal is to enable an ongoing relationship between the visiting parent and child by impartially observing their contact in a safe, healthy, and structured environment. The long-term goal is to facilitate unsupervised visitation in most cases and establish less structured supervision, if appropriate.
We are dedicated advocates for children. We are professional supervisors with strong backgrounds in legal studies, social work, psychology and child advocacy. We are proud members of the Supervised Visitation Network and strictly adhere to the guidelines and principles they set.
We supervise:
- Phone calls
- Skype
- Zoom visits
- In our visitation room
- On location - your home, restaraunts, parks, the zoo, etc.
We work with families to allow non-custodial parents to visit with their children. We supervise on location! This allows you to take your child to the zoo, the park, a restaurant, for ice cream... anywhere you choose (almost). We are available after hours and weekends to give you the greatest opportunity to make.a living and still see your child.
Your child, their safety and comfort, is our top priority. We work closely with local attorneys and judges to make sure our program both fits the needs of our clients and courts and exceeds the benchmark standards set by Supervised Visitation Network. Our supervisors are always available if you have any questions or concerns.
When you schedule a visit with us, we will pull your court docket to get a copy of the most recent visitation order and get an idea of the issues in your case. We will talk to your Guardian ad Litem if you have one. Our supervisors will be fully briefed on your particular case prior to the visit.
We will schedule an intake appointment with each parent separately and a time to meet the child(ren). This allows the child(ren) to be familiar with the supervisor and their surroundings prior to visit so they are more comfortable.
At the intake appointment, we will discuss your needs and any concerns you may have, as well as our policies and procedures and review the handbook. The intake will take approximately 30 minutes.
We are located in Hernando, MS, within walking distance of the courthouse. We have a comfortable visitation room but we also offer on location supervision in your home, the zoo, parks, restaurants, etc if your case allows. We serve all of the Memphis metro area and North Mississippi.
Please contact us to schedule your visitation as we work by appointment only..
